Jasmin Brunner

Fashion model
Suisse, 35-45

Introduction

I was born and raised in Switzerland and began my career as a full-time fashion model in my teens, working in all the major fashion capitals from Paris to NYC. After living in London and NYC for over a decade, I returned to the beautiful Swiss countryside five years ago with my husband and dog. While I continue to model, I've also founded several companies, including a creative photography production and media company, as well as my own fashion label of high-end, ethical cashmere sweaters.
I’m also utmost passionate about channeling my creativity through my work on social media, where I collaborate with leading fashion, beauty, and travel brands, showcasing the content my husband and I create together. Currently, I'm dedicating most of my summer to preparing for my first supporting actress role in a movie.

Tell us about your place of residence, city or region, activity and if or what you like about your hometown?

The place where I grew up is a little paradise of its own. Nestled among lush greenery, just a two-minute walk from our home was a public swimming pool, and there was even a ski lift within walking distance. We had the freedom to do our own thing as kids. It was a pretty safe area—a hidden gem, like an undiscovered small holiday town - Switzerland at its best.

We recently moved back to renovate our family property, and it feels like a continuous vacation. During the summer, sitting on our balcony is like being in a treehouse or the jungles of Costa Rica. The chirping of crickets evoke a French countryside vibe, while in winter, the snow-covered trees create a fairytale magical and serene atmosphere.

Your must-see addresses near you? (restaurant, market, gallery, museum, not-to-be missed, intimate or secret address, etc.)

We spend a lot of time in Zurich and international capitals for work. We have plenty of favorite spots there, but we really appreciate the peaceful charm of the nearby towns when we're at home. Each place has its own unique coffee shops, restaurants, and activities that we love. Whether it’s catching a movie at Lucerne’s Bourbaki Cinema or water sports followed by lunch at Seerose by Lake Hallwyl, we’ve got lots of regular spots scattered around the quaint small towns near us.

I also enjoy staying home as much as possible, especially after a period of travel, shoots, and events. I use this time to catch up and organise. Preparation is a crucial part of our routine, as our creative work involves continually developing and refining our skills. My days are filled with prepping styling and other elements for upcoming engagements, editing content, staying in shape, maintaining our home, and managing our various projects and companies. I also make sure to spend quality time with my family and our dog.

Your favorite places on Earth?

We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino, a group we frequently collaborate with.

We have many places we love, but some of our absolute favorites include Italy—especially the Amalfi Coast and Florence. We also like summers in Folegandros, Greece, and Cape Town holds a special place in our hearts. We love Switzerland for its stunning nature, breathtaking views, and beautiful lakes—I’m particularly drawn to water; saltwater, waves, swimming, and diving are therapeutic for me.

While we have our favorite familiar places, we also love exploring new destinations regularly. Our work takes us to some of the most breathtaking spots around the world, where we collaborate with some of the worlds best hotels and regions. These places are nothing short of heavenly, offering meticulous attention to detail, exquisite gastronomy, stunning architecture, and unique experiences. We take great joy in sharing these incredible moments with our audience through social media and photography.

Whenever we’re involved in a photography or art project that requires longer stays or frequent revisits, we get to immerse ourselves in the environment even more and it allows us to connect deeply with the place and its people.

I’m also fortunate to regularly experience new restaurants, hotels, and properties through invitations from my partners. In September, I’ll be heading to Paris with Hermès for a perfume launch and will stay at the stunning Meurice Hotel, which I’m excited to visit for the first time.Recently, I spent time in Berlin with Chanel and was captivated by the diverse architecture during our city tour. A few months ago, I had the privilege of working with Maison Margiela Fragrances, where Kensington Palace was fully privatized for our event and shoot. The meticulous attention to detail that brands invest in their visual communication—from gastronomy to décor and service—creates truly breathtaking environments every time. I’m incredibly grateful and blessed to have these special experiences through my work, each one contributing to a collection of lasting memories and inspiration.

Do you think it is important to travel and why?

Yes, I think it's super important to shake things up and immerse yourself in different cultures.Travelling was always very important for me. It can be incredibly inspiring and offer a whole new perspective. Of course, it all depends on the traveling style. But seeing how people live around the world can be really eye-opening, especially if you’re open to embracing new experiences.

What do you think about the future of travel and what we (citizens) need to consider?

In my ideal future, we would travel without harming the planet. It may sound idealistic, but I believe everyone would agree that having completely eco-friendly fuel would be a dream come true. I don’t see why human progress always has to come at such a high environmental cost.
At the same time, I’d love to see people embracing and celebrating their cultures, passing them on to future generations. This would help preserve the unique heritage of each place. Of course, this vision assumes a world where people have a promising future in their own countries and are content to stay, creating their own ideal environments while exploring other places when they wish.

As a woman, how do you judge the future of our land or our societies?

I hope that societies continue to cherish and sustain their cultures. From a woman’s perspective,I believe in equal rights for everyone, regardless of gender or background. But in my opinion it’s important to embrace differences between men and women. We should all pursue what makes us happy while recognizing and valuing natural diversity. These differences enrich our relationships and experiences. Ultimately, accepting our differences, understanding personal strengths and weaknesses, and how we complement each other, are key to our happiness.

How do you think you can contribute to it? Women who stand out to you?

Perhaps the best way to contribute is by helping younger women find their place in the world—by answering their questions and sharing insights when they seek guidance. Evidently everyone’s journey is unique, and the lessons I’ve learned have significantly shaped who I am today. Life can be complicated, lonely, and challenging for young women, and connecting with mentors or individuals who have more life experience can be incredibly beneficial.

What would be your travel dream?

There are still so many places we want to explore together, like Uruguay to visit Alex’s extended family, and I’m eager to visit the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Brasil and Cuba. I really enjoyed Morocco and definitely want to go back. Alex is also excited to show me Japan soon. We also both love the flexibility and tranquility of staying on boats. We’ve been fortunate to travel to so many incredible destinations, but there’s still so much more to see.
