Introduction

Darya von Bergen, a Swiss lifestyle influencer, an owner of the online magazine SwissGlam.ch and a private luxury events organiszer is based in Zurich. Originally Darya comes from Ukraine and after her studies there she started her career in online marketing in Switzerland, where she graduated from the University of Zurich after studying linguistics and literature. 

Darya attends grand events and openings, expends her reach to all corners of the Swiss entertainment, luxury goods and hospitality industries. 

Darya organizes events for Swissglam community, thus combining online world with real-time interaction between brands and potential consumers with interest in luxury.

Museum in Zurich that is a must is Kunsthaus (Art Museum), restaurant – the iconic Kronenhalle where you can try the typical Zurich / Swiss dishes and admire the art masterpieces on the walls. A bar not to miss is Widder Bar and Bar Am Wasser – best cocktails in town! For shopping – multiband boutique TASONI and Maison Gassmann. 

The best coffee you can get is at Bar 45 on the main street.

Your favorite places on Earth?

I really love Zurich! This place combines all things I really enjoy and appreciate in life: nature, cultural life, entertainment, people of various backgrounds, proximity to the international airport and a large train station for international adventures. 

The place number two that inspires me every time – is London! Such a vibrant city that literally has it all!

Do you think it is important to travel and why?

Definitely important! Travelling is something that each times brings you to rethink your own way of living and looking at the things on life, gives you ideas for own projects, whether personal or business, enriches you, widens your life perspective.

‍What do you think about the future of travel and what we (citizens) need to consider?

The future of travel in my wishful thinking would be exploring areas that get less attention than already popular places, that really deserve tourists’ attention and have also much to offer in terms of local culture.

What would you advise?

Do more research! Read guides, books and invest more time in choosing your next destination, do not rely on social media only.

As a woman, how do you judge the future of our land or our societies?

As a woman, I am optimistic about the future of our societies. With increasing emphasis on equality, innovation, and collaboration, I believe we are moving towards a more inclusive and prosperous world for everyone.

How do you think you can contribute to it? Women who stand out to you?

I contribute by promoting Swiss exclusive travel destinations on Instagram, showcasing the beauty and culture of our land, and inspiring others to explore and appreciate it. Women who stand out to me include those who are pioneers in sustainable tourism and cultural preservation, as they set examples for future generations.

What would be your travel dream?

Exploring Greece by boat and visit distant islands.
